My first week at work and two weekends are over and I have to say, Amsterdam is as beautiful as everybody told me. Right now I still stop at every bridge, look at the canals, the beautiful houses and streets. I can't imagine that I will ever get bored of that view. Yesterday I finally got my bike so the adventure Amsterdam really can begin. Find below my first impressions of Amsterdam.

Cheese
If you like cheese and wine, you definitely should try the cheese tasting at Reypenaer (Single 182) in the centre of old Amsterdam. You will test and evaluate the flavour, the aroma and the qualities of 5 Reypenaer cheeses with the appropriate wines to go with. The location and the people who are working there are amazing and know everything about their cheese.

With Sean from MuseumTickets.nl: P.C. Hoofstraat is Amsterdam's most exclusive shopping street with brands like Chanel, Mulberry, Tommy Hilfiger and many more. Definitely worth a visit, is the beautiful new Dior Store, which opened its doors last Saturday.

At Wijnard Focking (Pijsteeg 31) a liquor distillery and secret hidden place in the city center of Amsterdam. In a small side street you find the 'tasting room' of Wijnard Focking which turns out to be a great little bar, still furnished in the style of the 17th century with unique liquors.
